Health and Safety

Lyme Regis Gig Club (LRGC) recognises the importance of integrating appropriate health and safety standards into all aspects of its activities. It believes that the only approach to injury, ill health and loss prevention is through a positive safety culture, where everyone is actively involved in the systematic identification of hazards and the evaluation and control of risk.

LRGC provides information, instruction, training and supervision to all its members. These practices support its objective to maintain the highest level of safety management. To achieve this goal, LRGC requires the full co-operation of all its members.

LRGC Chairman has overall responsibility for all aspects of health and safety, and he is supported by the committee and other officers appointed to specific health and safety roles.
