Rowing with Lyme Regis Gig Club

The Gig Club aims is to offer its Members the opportunity to row as a way of keeping fit and having fun or to train hard to compete. The objective is to offer a balanced rowing programme for all, but at the same time to be a winning racing club.

Would you like to learn to row?

We run a Learn to Row programme to introduce new rowers to the club.

We run a session on Wednesday mornings with the focus being on non-competitive rowing. We mainly include beginners, those who want to develop their basic skills and people who want to get initial experience of coxing in a supportive environment. If this applies to you, or you are usually unable to row at weekends, you are very welcome to join us while the weather permits.

How do new members book a row?

Once your membership has been processed you will be sent, via email, an invitation to register with Teamsnap, the club rowing programme, where all rowers can book their future place in a gig for a Saturday, Sunday, or Midweek. Please note your availability must be registered a week prior to rowing to enable the captains to compile the rota.

Contact: the membership secretary for further information.
