Junior Rowing

Our Youth Section has now increased from 6/8 regular rowers to over 30, with two to three boats going out every Sunday, weather permitting. With the expansion of interest and youth membership we intend to extend youth rowing to evenings when the clocks change, as well as weekend sessions. We will attend some of the many Regattas on offer as well as three specific youth events: under 14’s in Hayle; under 16’s in Newquay and at our own Lyme Regis Gig Club Regatta held each year in August.

Skiff Rowing

The Gig Club has two Cornish sea Skiffs which are smaller than a Gig and will mean that children will be able to start rowing from the age of 8.
